I actually agree. I think that’s why everyone I know in the Bay Area is so angry about their life circumstances — they feel like they should be higher up the chain. And the “happy” folks in Guatemala were the ones with decent jobs relative to the general population. But I also feel like those populations are harder to find in the US — but maybe it’s just California.
